Please take a look around 'Our Services' section for more information on what we can offer you including some examples of our restoration work. You can also look me up on Facebook for current news and photos of what we have been up to.   Please see the links in the 'Contacts' section.

A lot of the restoration work we do involves the replacement of non traditional cement based mortars and renders which can be detrimental to the performance of a traditionally built property. If you wish to know more about the benefits of using Lime renders, mortars and other non cement based materials please follow the links below.

Testimonials

A few kind words from some of our satisfied customers....

"We had many months of work both inside and outside our Lake District farmhouse so it was wonderful to find Lewis was totally reliable, tidy, thoughtful, helpful with advice, honest and transparent with invoicing and, above all, a superb craftsman.

"He was the star of the renovation show. Thank you Lewis."

"We chose Lewis after advice from one of the Lake District's top conservation architects who has worked with a number of lime plasterers. We will for ever be grateful for that advice. Lewis became the lynch pin in our renovation project."

One of Chris's Internal rooms plastered using haired hot lime under coat with lime putty finish.

"We employed Lewis last summer to replace the external cement render on our damp home with lime and fit new sandstone sills. He was reliable and well organised from the beginning of the project, keeping us up to date with the schedule and kept to the agreed budget.  He turned up when he said, sometimes working in horrendous weather, and was very hard working and conscientious, taking pride in the quality of his work. He was unintrusive and trustworthy and just knuckled down and  focused on the job in hand.. He is also the cleanest worker I've ever met in the building trade and always cleaned and tidied before finishing each day. He always responded to queries, even after the job was completed and paid for.

Lewis is a rare find and a pleasure to have around. He is knowledgeable and skilled in his specialist field and I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone. I'm happy with the finish and quality of his work and had many positive comments from neighbours and other tradesmen about the quality and appearance of the work he has done on our home."
