Internal Plastering

The application of new traditional lime based plaster onto the internal face of an external wall or internal walls and partitions.

This work may involve the removal of damaged or non traditional plasters like  cement based plaster which can be detrimental to the performance of traditionally built stone walls,  or simply a new application onto a properly prepared existing or new stone wall and partitions.

These two pictures below are before and after shot taken of a farmhouse bedroom in Newlands Valley near Keswick, Cumbria. The internal chimney breast was plastered using an insulated lime hemp plaster base and finish coat.

This stair window was re-plastered using an Insulated lime plaster undercoat with a lime putty finish.

These 2 pictures below show a internal lime plaster carried out in St James Church at Arnside, Cumbria. We used a NHL lime with a lime putty finish floated up.

Internal Lime plastering on the existing walls and ceilings, carefully worked around the existing timber beams and lintels.
